LLC Facility Rental

The Language Learning Center multimedia computer labs (PC Lab/Mac Lab/Digital Language Lab/Faculty Development Lab) and Media Rooms (Moore 155A & Moore 258) are each available for use on a fee basis to University of Hawaii programs, government and non-profit organizations.

Faculty Development Lab 12 PC & 1 Mac G4 station
Room 155a 30 seating capacity

Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm, closed on holidays

Rates

The hourly and daily rates are for usage of the lab and equipment only.

UH departments:
$60/hour or fraction thereof
$250/day (8am - 5pm)

Other state agencies:
$100/hour
$500/day

Private companies, vendors, etc:
$165/hour

For additional software installations, there is a $40.00 per hour software installation and removal charge.

Special Requests

Special software:

Additional software required on the computers must be provided by the department/group using the lab and must be installed by LLC. The group must provide LLC with a disclaimer that the group will take full responsibility for legal licenses of the software. An additional charge ($40/hr) will be applied for installation and removal (restore the systems back to the original configuration ) service.The group using the lab must agree in advance to pay for these extra charges.

Technical assistance to be present during the session:

$15/hr for student assistant
$50/hr for staff

Technical assistance must be pre-arranged and is based on staff/student availability. Staff and students are not available "on-call."

Other special requests require manager approval (email the LLC IT Specialist).

Procedure and Payment

  1. Submit a reservation form to request use of a facility. Click here for online reservation form.
  2. LLC will confirm your request.
  3. To cancel a confirmed reservation, please give a minimum of 24 hours notice.
  4. We will only invoice for costs already incurred, like installation of additional software.
  5. Upon completion of the lab usage, the group will be invoiced by LLC.

Conditions of Use

The group using the lab must agree to the following conditions:

  1. Food and beverages are NOT permitted in the lab. The renting organization is responsible for replacement cost of equipment if any equipment is damaged during the training room rental.
  2. All equipment, including the overhead projector, chairs and tables, must remain in the lab.
  3. The group using the lab is responsible for safe keeping of all equipment during lab use and will be held liable for any lost and/or damage due to misuse, abuse, or negligence (i.e. equipment missing when door not closed and locked after last person leaves.)
  4. Language Learning Center is not responsible for injury to instructor or participants and is not liable for personal property loss.

Cancellation

To cancel a confirmed reservation, please give a minimum of 24 hours notice. We will only invoice for costs already incurred, like installation of non-standard software.


**If rental of the computer labs is requested outside of our normal operating hours, a computer technician approved by LLC must be hired at the going hourly rate for the duration of use in addition to the room fee.
