Facilities for Students

MULTIMEDIA COMPUTER LABS (MCL) - Moore 153

The Language Learning Center maintains two computer labs, a PC Lab and a Mac Lab in Moore 153. These labs are open for drop-in use by students and may be reserved for classes by instructors.

DIGITAL LISTENING LAB (Seating Capacity: 12) - Moore 153

12-station PC computer lab for listening and recording. Students may listen to audio materials and can record their voice on a second track. These stations can also be used to post voice recordings to the LLC web-based forum site.

VIDEO VIEWING ROOM (Seating Capacity: 12) - Moore 156

Four(4) VCR/Monitor units and two(2) Multi-region DVD/monitor unit each with two(2) headsets and separate volume controls for multiple viewing. It is available for student use on a walk-in basis during regular Mac Lab hours.

CD OPTION

Audio materials for various courses are available on CD in the mp3 format. These CDs are distributed through the course instructors at the beginning of the semester. Instructions for obtaining the CD are given in class.

TO BORROW A VIDEO OR CD-ROM FOR USE IN THE LABS

1. Go to the Mac Lab (Moore 153) during lab hours
2. Present Validated UH Student ID Card
3. Go To Viewing Room, Moore 156, to watch video or Mac/PC lab to play CD-ROM
4. Return Video/CD-ROM to retrieve ID Card
